How to Make Your Turkey Cake Jars
Prep Time: 50 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Yields: 6 turkey cake jars
Step 1: Prepare the Graham Crackers

- Break graham crackers into 4 smaller rectangular pieces.
- Use the 3-inch circle cutter to round the edges of each piece, creating rounded feather ended shapes.

- Make 18 rounded pieces total (3 feathers per jar).
Step 2: Create Orange-Tipped Feathers

- Melt the orange chocolate melts in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl 30 seconds at a time until the chocolate is liquid.
- Dip the rounded tip of the graham crackers into the chocolate, scrape off excess and then put them on a sheet of parchment paper.

- Place it to the side to dry.
- Keep the remaining orange chocolate to reheat in a later step.
Step 3: Make Brown Buttercream

- Add cocoa powder to buttercream and mix completely with spatula.

- Now add 3-4 drops of brown food gel color to the buttercream and mix until the buttercream is a darker shade of brown.
- Tip: Do not add a lot of food gel color because the brown will get darker once it's piped.

- Put the buttercream in a piping bag, tie the ends and cut a medium size hole on the tip.

Assembling the Turkey Jars

- Grab everything you need for your turkey jars. For one jar you will need:
- 1 Jar
- 1 Cupcake
- 3 Orange choc dipper crackers
- 2 Eyeballs
- 1 Candy Corn
Step 4: Assemble the Base
- Unwrap your cupcakes and pop 1 cupcake in each jar.

- Next pipe the buttercream into the jar over the cupcakes.

- Use a spatula or knife to smooth out the buttercream.
Step 5: Add Turkey Feathers
- Insert 3 orange-tipped graham crackers into each jar.

- Fan them out behind the buttercream to look like turkey tail feathers.
Step 6: Create Turkey Face

- Reheat remaining orange chocolate until smooth.
- Dip the back of the large eye sprinkles in the chocolate and place the eyes one at a time on the outer rim of the jar. Hold them in place to make sure they stick.
- Dip the candy corn in the orange chocolate and place it below the eyes to represent the beak.
- Once the chocolate is dry, Serve and Enjoy!
Storage and Serving Tips

- These Jars are best eaten fresh but they can be stored in a cool dry place for 2 days or the fridge for 4 days with an air tight lid on top.
- You will have to remove the graham crackers and items from the outside of the jar.
- You can use any flavor cupcakes you want but it will look best if they are brown.
