• Brown paint

• Yarn

How to Make Your Popsicle Stick Reindeer Ornament

This craft is perfect for preschool and elementary-aged children, with adult help needed for cutting detailed pieces and painting.

Step 1: Cut the Reindeer Template Pieces

• Use the template to cut out the antlers, ears, and body pieces from brown construction paper.

• Cut the white oval face piece, small red nose circle, and small black oval shapes for hooves from construction paper.
• Add a black marker smile to the white face piece as shown.

Step 2: Paint and Prepare the Popsicle Stick Base

• Paint two popsicle sticks brown and let them dry completely.
• When dry, cut both ends of each popsicle stick to create curved edges.
• Glue the two black feet we cut out in the previous step to the bottom of the paddle pop sticks.

• Glue the two curved popsicle sticks together side by side to create the reindeer's body base.

Step 3: Assemble the Reindeer Antlers, Ears and Tummy

• Glue the brown antlers to the back of the popsicle stick base, positioning them at the top.
• Attach the small brown ears on either side just below the antlers.
• Attach the tan body piece to the lower portion of the popsicle sticks.

Step 4: Assemble the Reindeer Face

• Glue the white oval face piece to the center front of the popsicle sticks.
• Add the red nose circle to the center of the white face.
• Add the small black hoof shapes at the sides.

Step 4: Add the Yarn Scarf, Eyes and Hanging Loop

• Cut two pieces of fuzzy wire (pipe cleaner) for the scarf. Twist the two pipe cleaners together and tie it around the neck area just below the face.
• Glue the googly eyes above the nose on the white face piece.
• Cut a piece of yarn to create a hanging loop and attach it to the top back of the ornament.
