This craft is great for kids ages 5 and up. You'll want to help with cutting the cups and putting it all together.
Step 1: Prepare the Paper Cups

- Take two paper cups and trim the rim edges off both of them – one of the cups should be shorter than the other
- On one cup, cut 3 rectangles out of the sides as seen in the photo above
- Then paint the cut two of the edges with gray paint to make the feet
- Let the paint dry completely
Step 2: Print and Cut the Fox Pieces

- Print out the fox template
- Cut out the two face pieces from white cardstock
- Use the silver paint to paint the larger piece in silver

- Next cut out the tummy patch piece and paint it in silver paint as well

- Once dry glue the two face pieces together

- Glue the face and tummy patch piece to the paper cup
Step 3: Add Details to the Pieces

- Cut out the face pieces
- Use a black marker to add pupil to the eyes

- Glue the pieces to the face on your paper cup
- Use a black marker to add a mouth
Step 4: Create the Tail

- Cut out the two tail pieces. Pain the larger tail piece with the silver paint and let it dry completely

- Glue the two tail pieces together

- And then glue the tail to the back of the paper cup
Step 5: Create the Hopping Mechanism

- Cut two strips of black cardstock

- Glue the two corners together so you form an ‘L' shape

- Fold the strips in an accordion or zigzag pattern, alternating the direction with each fold

- When you get to the end, glue the end pieces together and cut off any overhanging bits.
Step 6: Connect the Cups

- Glue the folded strips to your decorated fox cup
- Place the one cup over the other to finish your craft

- Press down on the fox and let it hop! The folded paper springs back and makes it bounce
